Shichun (Alex) Xu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Marketing and Logistics at University of Tennessee. He holds a Ph. D. degree in marketing with a minor in international business from Michigan State University. He received his MBA from University of Arkansas. His research focuses on marketing strategies with special emphasis on international marketing and R&D alliance management. His current projects explore the R&D alliance portfolio configuration issues. His research has been published and is under revision for peer-reviewed journals.
Xu grew up in China where he got his master’s degree in linguistics from Shanghai Jiaotong University and his bachelor’s degree from Shandong University of Science and Technology. He is a member of the Academy of International Business (AIB) and American Marketing Association (AMA).
