Sergey Ponomarov is a Logistics PhD student. His professional experience includes positions in consumer marketing, lean six sigma operations and demand forecasting with 3M, The Hearst and Whirlpool corporations. He also has an extensive small business consulting experience. Sergey’s educational background includes a Specialist degree in Economics of Enterprise, an MBA with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and Finance, and a MS degree in Industrial Statistics.

While pursuing his graduate degrees, Sergey was working as a research assistant at the ULM Small Business Development Center and as a teaching assistant at the Department of Statistics, Operations and Management Science at the University of Tennessee. Sergey is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma Honors Society, American Statistical Association, and American Society for Training and Development.

Sergey’s current research interests include demand-supply integration, international aspects of supply chain strategy, network design, and global supply chain risk management.
